Check in? More like check mate!

Time to clock my first entry!

Since Darren mentioned about passengers' handling, I will talk about counter duties! (Guess it's related) I abhor counter duties man!

1. I hate to play the bad guy, disrupting everybody's schedule just because marketing feels that it pays more to deny boarding or downgrading than to leave the seats empty. (But hey I am paid for thy purpose!)

2. When staff comes to you for solution and you have none to offer except to wait while you check further (guess its only wise that I perform more counter duties to resolve this issue)

3. When I really loved to help passengers but am totally clueless about how to go about doing it.

4. Relates back to point 4, the feeling of helplessness when you feel more like a liability than an asset.

5. I am speechless in face of angry passenger. I caught myself likening to a broken recorder, saying the same thing over and over again. I am clueless about when I should stand up and be firm with passengers while putting their "unreasonable-ness" to a halt or should I agree with passenger that my staff is in wrong, my airline is in the wrong and I should do all possible to resolve his problem (which could jolly well make me go against rules and policies)

6. See a side that I do not want to see from the people "up there".

7. In good times, every second feels like a minute.

Having said all the above, I guess the reason I am employed is because I am suppose to be able to handle all the above mentioned situations. Guess there are still alot to learn and hopefully I will be able to enjoy check in duties soon!

Last but not least, pictures below comprising all the contributors to this blog!!!!
