9V-SPR

Whoa... I didn't realize that you guys actually posted something until now... hah hah... I'll read and comment when I return to SIN.

For now... I am pleased to announce that I have finally hammered this bloody elusive stinker in AKL...

9V-SPR B747-4H6 SQ0286 AKL-SIN

Can't believe I came all the way here to AKL to shoot this beast. But then again... I've learnt over the past years that once you want something, just grab it... things come and go only once in your life and if you don't grab the one and only opportunity, it's gone forever. For the record, the lease of 9V-SPR is expected to end in May 2008, after which it'll start a new life with another airline in another livery.

I've always regretted not making a trip to Hong Kong's old Kai Tak Airport before it closed. Now that place is gone forever and dramatic shots of planes landing at that horrifyingly scary airport can't be taken anymore. Sob... anyway... glad that I skipped university lectures to go photograph the last flights of Concorde... and glad that I spent a bloody S$300+++ on a single-trip SIN-BKK flight on a Thai Airways MD-11...

OK OK... enough of my aircraft blabber and WAKE UP. Hope our PEK man is doing fine and our LAX gal is driving safely. For the guys in SIN... look forward to the arrival of 9V-SKA on 17 October 1830h. See you guys when I fly back on SQ286 tomorrow... (make sure tonight's SQ285 is 9V-SPR and DO NOT CHANGE AIRCRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Over and out.
